Care services
We provide trusted care for a few hours, overnight, a weekend or longer, giving family carers time to rest.
Family carers give an enormous amount of time and care, often without enough opportunity to rest. Respite care provides a well-deserved break while their loved one remains safely supported.
We come in for a set period — a few hours, a long weekend, a week or a fortnight — and follow an agreed care plan, keeping the person’s familiar routines, preferences and support needs in place. You go away, or you stay home and sleep. Either is a legitimate use of it.
Take a well-deserved break knowing your loved one is safe, comfortable and cared for in familiar surroundings.
Our trained carers come to your home and follow the person’s usual routines. Support can be arranged for a few hours, overnight, a weekend or longer.
Request a free assessmentWhen it is not the right answer. Respite works best booked in advance. Urgent respite may be available, subject to completing a safe assessment and having suitable carers available, but the more notice you give the better the match — and the match is what makes it go smoothly.
What is included
The care plan is written with you, so this is a starting point rather than a fixed list.
We complete a detailed handover so the care plan reflects the person’s routines, preferences and professional guidance.
Personal care, meals, medication, appointments, the dog, the bins — the real list.
A few visits a day, or a carer living in for the whole period. Whichever matches what you do now.
Urgent respite may be available, subject to completing a safe assessment and having suitable carers available. If it is more than a family carer’s break — a wider care package has fallen through with no warning — see Rapid Response Care instead.
A short message each day if you want one, so you can actually switch off.
Written notes on how the period went, including anything that changed.
